iPad Data Recovery

Data recovery assessment for dead, liquid-damaged and physically damaged iPads, with clear encryption limits and nationwide mail-in service.

Assessment and data-focused board work for iPads that do not power on, do not boot, have suffered liquid damage or contain important local data that is not backed up.

Protect the data first

Do not restore, erase or repeatedly update a failing iPad. Do not keep charging a device that is wet, corroded, swollen or becoming hot. Power it off where possible and keep the original device and any parts removed during previous repair attempts together.

Encryption changes the recovery method

Modern iPad user data is encrypted and tied to the original hardware and passcode. The usual goal is therefore to restore temporary operation to the original board so the correct passcode can unlock the device. A memory-chip transfer alone is not a general passcode-bypass method.

The correct passcode may be required during an approved recovery. We do not collect it through the first public form.

Problems we assess

  • Liquid damage and corrosion.
  • No-power and charging faults.
  • Impact or connector damage.
  • Boot loops and intermittent startup.
  • Damage following unsuccessful third-party repair.
  • Important photos, notes or application data not present in iCloud or a computer backup.

What the service includes

  1. Model and history review.
  2. Non-erasing inspection and diagnosis.
  3. Written quote and explanation of the likely recovery route.
  4. Approved component-level work intended to obtain temporary access.
  5. Extraction of agreed data to separate media where the device can decrypt and communicate.

Limits

Recovery may not be possible after severe processor, secure-component or storage damage, missing original components, an unknown passcode, factory reset, overwrite or extensive corrosion. We will explain identified limitations before you approve paid work.

Frequently asked questions

Should I put a wet iPad in rice?

No. Rice cannot remove internal contamination or corrosion. Disconnect power, stop charging and arrange an assessment.

Can you repair the iPad as well?

The quoted objective is data access. Some work may temporarily restore operation, but the device may not be suitable for continued use after recovery.

Can you recover an erased iPad?

Modern encryption generally makes data recovery after a completed erase impractical. Check iCloud and computer backups.

Tell us what happened, what device you have and which files matter most. We will provide packing instructions for a tracked mail-in case or arrange a Timaru drop-off.

Submitting an enquiry does not authorise paid recovery work. Any applicable assessment, parts, media, courier or recovery charges are explained before you approve them.
