Drop-off is by arrangement so the device can be linked to a case reference and the correct packing, power-supply and component requirements can be confirmed first.
Local does not mean ordinary computer repair
The purpose of a data recovery case is to preserve and extract important data from the original failed storage. That may involve controlled imaging, firmware or electrical diagnosis, temporary board repair, RAID reconstruction or file-system analysis. The recovered source is not normally returned to service as reliable storage.
Services available
- Clicking, beeping, dropped and unreadable hard drives
- SATA SSD and NVMe SSD failures
- QNAP, NAS and RAID recovery
- MacBook and Microsoft Surface recovery
- iPhone, iPad and USB flash drive cases
Before bringing in a device
Stop using it if it clicks, disconnects, reports read errors, is wet or becomes hot. Do not format, initialise, reset, restore or rebuild it. Complete the intake form with the exact model, symptoms, previous attempts and priority files, but do not include credentials.
Assessment and quote
You receive a written scope and quote before paid recovery work. Review the pricing policy for possible assessment, parts, media and return costs.
Outside Timaru?
The same service is available through the nationwide tracked mail-in process. The physical lab remains in Timaru; the website does not claim staffed offices in other cities.
Arrange a Timaru assessment
Tell us what happened, what device you have and which files matter most. We will provide packing instructions for a tracked mail-in case or arrange a Timaru drop-off.
Submitting an enquiry does not authorise paid recovery work. Any applicable assessment, parts, media, courier or recovery charges are explained before you approve them.
